Iowa Hawkeyes forward Megan Gustafson hoists the trophy with the rest of her team after beating Maryland 90-76. 2 seed Iowa to a 90-76 win over top-seeded Maryland at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Sunday, giving the Hawkeyes their first Big Ten tournament title since 2001 and their third overall. The record for most points in any Big Ten tournament game is 48, a mark Gustafson set last year. The Hawkeyes had held her to just two points in an 86-73 Maryland loss in Iowa City on Feb. 17. Maryland briefly got within 10 points after that, but the Terps couldn’t sustain a run and lost their second consecutive conference tournament title game.
