“I felt like my father was fortunate to die 47 years ago before seeing the boys carrying ‘I am Razakar’ posters in the name of quota reforms,” Choudhury said at a rally in solidarity with freedom fighters in Chattogram on Saturday. She said such posters insulted the freedom fighters. They demanded the authorities clip the seats reserved for freedom fighters’ families, women, small ethnic groups and others to 10 percent from 56 percent. Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury then told parliament, “Will the Razakars’ children, not freedom fighters’, get the jobs?”The following day, some of the protesters carried ‘I am Razakar’ posters. Later, Hasina said she would like to see the entire quota system abolished.
