KOTA KINABALU: Police retrieved the body of a man found floating in waters near the ports here, this morning. A team of marine personnel were deployed to the scene after receiving a report at 6.20am. "Based on preliminary investigation, the victim was believed drowned and we took the body to the marine base for further inspection and identification," he said, adding the body was later sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for post-mortem. Chandra added that the hospital medical officer confirmed that the victim has been dead for about 12 hours. Chandra said police have classified the case as sudden death pending hospital autopsy result.
