PETALING JAYA: Malaysians have been united when it comes to protesting religious and political provocation, said Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir (pic). "It matters that people show up and make their voices heard", said Marina at the third annual Day of Solidarity talk on Sunday. Also present at the talk themed "Pilgrimage Towards Justice and Peace" were former law minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim and human rights lawyer Datuk S. Ambiga Sreenevasan. Ambiga said in the interest of the nation, Malaysians need to speak up and hold the authorities accountable, and be fearless about it. The talk was co-organised by the Malaysian Council of Churches and the Conference of Religious Major Superiors (Roman Catholic Church).
