PETALING JAYA: A jilted lover murdered his girlfriend at a parking lot of a mosque in Sungai Way but failed in his bid to end his own life. The Indonesian man, who was armed with a knife, stabbed his Indonesian girlfriend on the chest during the 10.38pm incident on Saturday. Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the woman, identified as Asmaul Chasanah, 28, died at the scene but the culprit failed to commit suicide. “The suspect was rushed to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for treatment and we subsequently arrested him,” he said when contacted. However, the victim ended the relationship soon after, angering the suspect,” ACP Mohd Zani said.
