Sharp was in the middle of a 60 kilometre round trip hike to a beat up old bus made famous in the Jon Krakauer book and movie adaptation of Into the Wild. The inside of the bus was hollowed out and converted into a camper years ago, complete with a wood burning stove. Matthew Sharp is continuing his travels and was expected to arrive in Whitehorse, Yukon, Saturday night. The Into the Wild bus has long been a destination for those seeking to retrace McCandless steps. "I was alone the whole time," Sharp said, "other than crossing paths with an Australian man who was returning from the bus."
