Lavelle, one of the longest rooftop pools in North America has opened in the Freed building above King Street West. This is Toronto’s latest “urban playground for adults,” as promoter Reza Abedi calls it, another poolside option for Toronto’s hungry, thirsty and hot pleasure seekers. It’s a scene typical to party cities such as Las Vegas, New York and Miami, but relatively new to Toronto where Lavelle is fresh competition for similar spots Cabana Pool Bar, Thompson Hotel Rooftop Lounge & Pool, and Muzik Beach club. “It’s an adult playground in the sense where you never know what’s going to happen,” says Abedi, Lavelle operational partner with Trademark Hospitality. “It’s in no way a pool party or anything of that sort.
