Centrepoint associate director Lizzie Tollemache says a new scheme allows artists to learn and rehearse with a professional director. Thirty actors and 20 artists are being sought for a scheme to give emerging talent a leg up. Square Edge Community Arts and Centrepoint Theatre, both in Palmerston North, are hosting The Sunday Script Sessions, which comprise rehearsed readings of new one-act plays and an art exhibition. There would be four readings on each Sunday evening at Centrepoint, featuring a rotating exhibition from Square Edge artists in the foyer. Centrepoint associate director Lizzie Tollemache said the scheme gave Manawatū artists the opportunity to learn from and rehearse with a professional director.
