Timaru should have two new self-serve fuel stations on State Highway 1 at its northern and southern entrances open before Christmas. NPD chief executive Barry Sheridan said work at the two new sites at Redruth and Washdyke was due to start in August..Construction at the South Island family-owned fuel retailer's new Timaru sites had been delayed because of Covid-19 lockdowns and delays in the deisng and consent process, Sheridan said. SUPPLIED NPD chief executive Barry Sheridan says the company's new self serve stations in Timaru should open before Christmas. The additions will bring NPD's Timaru sites to three, adding to the one on Evans St/SH1 which will remain open.
