GOLF: Manawatū-Whanganui have missed out on a spot in the men's interprovincial final by the narrowest of margins. In Saturday's semifinal at Hastings Golf Club, Manawatū-Whanganui tied 2.5-all with eventual champions Auckland before an agonising loss on a playoff hole. Tyler Wood beat Jared Edwards 3-2 and Tyler Hodge went past Kunaal Singh 1 up. Against Tasman Wood, Hodge and McConaghty had wins, and Finlayson and Munn losses. Finlayson, Munn and Hodge had wins.
