Homeowner's investigation into polluted backyard stream sees company fined


With a positive identification she alerted Auckland Council's pollution hotline who sent out an enforcement officer to investigate. "Thanks to the fast action of these Campbells Bay residents in alerting the council's pollution team we were able to hold this developer accountable for the pollution they had caused." The council's pollution team respond to about 2500 calls a year on all types of pollution including illegal discharges to streams such as this case.
