By JOSEPH OPENDAMore by this AuthorA convict who stabbed a Nakuru magistrate got a reprieve Tuesday after the prosecution reduced his attempted murder charges to assault. Mr Michael Kuhora, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Josephat Burudi gave a sigh of relief when the prosecution amended the charge from attempted murder to assault. He now faces a charge of assaulting Resident Magistrate Eunice Kelly at the Nakuru law courts on November 22, using a screw driver. The accused is alleged to have committed offence after the magistrate sentenced him to three years for assaulting Ms Edith Adhiambo. Chief magistrate Burudi dismissed his bond application saying that it was inappropriate since he was still serving a three years jail term handed to him by the magistrate he stabbed.
