GEORGE TOWN: Police have arrested a drug case fugitive who escaped from police custody earlier this month. Khairul was charged with a drug offence at George Town magistrate's court here on Sept 6. Police subsequently discovered the duplicate key in a drain at the court. Police has yet to establish the source of the duplicate key used by Khairul but Anuar reminded the media not to make any wild speculation while the investigation was ongoing. In July, a drug detainee, held at Bayan Baru centralised lock up, escaped police custody after he bribed eight officers to take him to visit his family and friend.
