MUMBAI: A Mumbai resident with the moniker 'The Faith Runner' recently finished running 100km every day for 100 days.Now, he is looking to run a whopping 15,000km for martyrs and their families. Sameer Singh will start his five month-long marathon in December this year, from Wagah Border in Amritsar. The run will take him through almost all Indian states, and will conclude at Wagah.Jawans from the BSF and other paramilitary forces will join him along the way.Singh, who comes from a family of farmers in Madhya Pradesh, moved to Mumbai in 2001, where he worked as a fisherman, at a survey firm, in a movie and some TV serials.It was at the Iskcon temple that he had an epiphany and decided to earn money by running marathons.The initial period of his new career was marred by failures, but he didn't give up. And soon enough, he began to win.Singh calls Lord Krishna the source of his energy, and the Gita his inspiration.Though there were times he thought he wouldn't be able to complete a 100km run, a dream of Lord Krishna changed his life, he shares.From that day on, he felt unstoppable.Today Singh has many students of his own, who he trains to run. One of them, Kunal Kashad, even helped him finish the 100km run.
