A young man who arrived home while tipsy and threatened to shoot his mother has been charged in court. Lenin Byron Nyakwana is alleged to have threatened his mother without a lawful excuse at their home in the Obama estate in Njiru sub-county, Nairobi, on June 5. The mother was in her bedroom when her son knocked and forced his way in before she could open it. Nyakwana is said to have confronted his parents inside the bedroom, accusing them of neglecting him and causing him distress. Neighbours, who heard the commotion, joined the mother in calming her son, and she was able to escape.
