A man was stabbed in the chest at an address in Christchurch on Saturday night. Stuff was told the victim was taken to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition following the assault. Officers at the scene told neighbours "some people were fighting" and police were searching for a white ute, a witness said. "He was known to the victim and we are following strong leads. "The victim was seriously injured but not critical," a spokeswoman said.
