An official from City police station told The Express Tribune that Kashif Abbas, a resident of Naurangabad, was depressed after one of his relatives refused to give their daughter’s hand in marriage. He added that in sheer frustration, the man doused his body in petrol and set himself ablaze. After the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the victim to the Teaching Hospital trauma centre, the official maintained. Meanwhile, doctors at the hospital said that 60% body of the victim’s body had been burnt.
