One person has been critically hurt and reportedly lost a hand in a workplace incident in Christchurch. St John sent two ambulances to the scene in Hornby after being called out at 10.37 this morning before transporting one person to Christchurch Hospital. The person had their hand "severed/amputated with a skill saw", according to a St John tweet alert. Stuff reported the incident happened at Southern Pallets on Calgary Place.
