A 44-year-old Queenstown man arrested following a search warrant this morning has been remanded in custody by Judge Kevin Phillips. The man faces one charge of possession of Class A-controlled methamphetamine, for the purpose of supply, dated April 3. Judge Phillips remanded the defendant to reappear in the Queenstown District Court via AVL on Monday. A police media spokeswoman earlier said the man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested at 7am after the search was executed at a Fernhill address. The spokeswoman said a ''large amount of property'' was recovered from the address, as well as Class A and C-controlled drugs.
