Man killed in single-vehicle crash in northern New Brunswick

A 44-year-old man from Bois-Blanc is dead after a single-vehicle crash in northeastern New Brunswick. Police responded to the crash on Chemin Principale in Petit-Paquetville shortly after 4 a.m. on Saturday, though the time of the crash is not yet known, Caraquet RCMP said in a news release. Police said they believe the man, who was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, lost control while negotiating a curve and left the road. An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
