Boaters are reminded to be extra careful while navigating around the Cascumpec Bridge in western P.E.I., as construction to replace it is underway. Darrell Evans of P.E.I. "There could be construction crews in the area trying to do work..could be some construction material that might fall, could be some construction material that could be in the water that we're working at," he said. "We do have some signs in area to advise boaters to slow down, and we also have safe channels marked." Construction on the Cascumpect Bridge on Route 12 near Alberton is scheduled to wrap in early November, Evans said.
