A transport worker has been sentenced to eight months of imprisonment today for carrying weapons including expandable baton and slingshots outside the Hong Kong Museum of Art in Tsim Sha Tsui on October 27 last year. He pleaded guilty to a count of possession of offensive weapon at the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts today. The defendant claimed that he was afraid of being attacked by people with different political stance and carried the weapons for self-defense.
