A car hit and injured an elderly man on Nelson St/State Highway 6 in Blenheim. An elderly man hit by a car while crossing the road in Blenheim has died in hospital. The man, in his 80s, was crossing Nelson St/State Highway 6, near the Hutcheson St intersection, when he was hit about 1.20pm on Tuesday. Police said in a statement the man died in hospital on Wednesday afternoon as a result of his injuries.
