more-inThe Delhi Police on Friday arrested a man for duping 30 professors of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on pretext of selling them residential plot in the city. Gurugram resident Hitesh allegedly cheated people by taking money and promising them residential land in Delhi, the police said. A cheating case has been registered against Hitesh on the complaint of Noble-Socio Scientific Welfare Organisation (NSSWO), a society comprising 30 JNU professors. The police said that the society entered into a Joint Development Agreement with the accused to purchase residential flats. Since then, the accused received around ₹6 crore from different parties in lieu of the same property.
