The police on Sunday booked a man for allegedly subjecting his 24-year-old niece to sexual assault on the outskirts of Peshawar. A police official, while requesting anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media, told The Express Tribune that a Badhaber resident told them that she works as domestic help. She added that her brother-in-law had been allegedly abusing her 24-year-old daughter in her absence. The official added that based on a complaint, an FIR has been registered against the suspect under the relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
