KUALA LUMPUR: A man was shot dead in a drive-by shooting at Jalan Segambut Bahagia in Jinjang here last night. The victim’s friend, who was in the driver’s seat, immediately gunned the engine and sped off to leave the area. Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim said the case has been classified as murder. “We have detained the victim’s friend, 27, who was there during the shooting, to facilitate investigation,” he said, adding that police are actively hunting for the two suspects. Police are now investigating possible underworld links as a possible motive behind the shooting.
