The jury — six women, six men — found Rouschop, 44, guilty of raping and choking two Vanier sex-trade workers in the summer of 2013. The jury took less than 24 hours to find him guilty of aggravated sexual assault and choking. Reached at jail Tuesday night, Rouschop told the Citizen: “I’m numb. Both sex-trade workers testified against him at trial, recalling how they were choked until they blacked out in the backseat of Rouschop’s pickup truck. I submit that they harassed, they cajoled, they persuaded, they bought and they befriended two vulnerable, drug-addicted sex-trade workers — until something fell out,” Calvinho told the jury.
