A 28-year-old man, Muktar Yahaya, was on Tuesday arraigned in a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for stealing property worth N750,000, but granted bail in the sum of N800,000. Yahaya, who resides at 37 Road, Gwarimpa, Abuja, had pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of housebreaking and theft levelled against him. The prosecutor, Mrs Ijeoma Ukagha, told the court that Hajara Aboki, of War College, Gwarimpa, reported the matter at the Life Camp Police Station, Abuja, on Jan. 30. She noted that her apartment was locked while the gate was unlocked because there were other occupants in the building. The prosecutor said that the defendant allegedly locked her apartment with another padlock and kept the key.
