Man dies in 'tragic' workplace accident in Canterbury


Dedicated family man Kevin Jory with his wife Jane and their four grandchildren. Kevin Jory loved working as a locksmith and interacting with customers so much he delayed retiring so he could make it last a little bit longer. The 69-year-old owned and operated Security Installation Service – a locksmith business based in Christchurch – for 29 years, but died in a "tragic workplace accident" on May 13. He owned a Triumph car and had planned to go travelling in it with wife Jane once he retired. Kevin Jory leaves behind wife Jane, sons Graeme and Craig, and grandchildren Mikayla, Charlotte, Hazel and Pippa.
