A man has died following a house fire in Christchurch late last night. Emergency services were called to the blaze at house in Breens Rd, Bishopdale, about 10:40pm. The man was found inside the house in a critical condition, police said this morning. The man was the sole occupant of the property. A scene guard will be in place while Police and Fire and Emergency NZ undertake their inquiries.
