The latte is considered the ultimate symbol of excess: frothy, indulgent, beloved by Aucklanders. And so, approximately one billion articles have been written on the theme of 'ditching the daily latte'. The general idea is that by cutting out a single coffee, you could save $4 a day. After a decade of doing without the daily latte, you've saved almost $20,000. Now, maybe you really should stop buying that daily latte.
