All four children were taken to hospital after the car he was driving smashed into the wall of a pub near Barnsley in South Yorkshire at 12.25am on Wednesday. The children’s injuries were “not all thought to be consistent with the collision”, according to South Yorkshire police. All four children remain in a serious condition in hospital.
