Man charged with 1st-degree murder in shooting death of his Roxboro landlord


A 33-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found in the basement of an apartment building the dead man owned in Pierrefonds-Roxboro. The body of Constantinos Tounta​s, 45, was discovered Saturday morning in the building at 63 1st Avenue, near Gouin Boulevard. Montreal police said the victim had gunshot wounds to his upper body and was declared dead at the scene. One of his tenants, Michael David Burns, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death.
