A man threw a taxi driver’s mobile phone out of the window of the car they were travelling in early this morning, in Queenstown. The driver activated a safety alarm that alerted the taxi company which then contacted police. The 39-year-old, who threw the phone from the taxi, was charged for wilful damage. Snr Sgt Enoka said police were reviewing the taxi driver’s dashboard camera to see if further charges would be laid. Snr Sgt Enoka said the phone was retrieved but she did not know the extent of the damage.
