The victim, named Mognu Mia, 35, was killed in a violent altercation on Saturday night. Local police have arrested two people over the incident, which took place in Jagannathpur area of Moulvibazar Sadar upazila. According to locals and the police, Mognu Mia had an altercation with two other men, named Sumon Mia and Seful Mia, about sharing a cigarette. Mognu lost consciousness after the beating, and was taken to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for treatment.
