Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife at their home in the capital on July 19. Salahuddin alias Salamin, 27, who had been on run, was arrested from Badarpur area under Faridpur Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon, SI Anuj Kumar Sarkar of Shah Ali police station told the Dhaka Tribune. Anju, the investigation officer of the murder case, said: “We have arrested the suspect after tracing his location through his mobile phone. Some of their neighbours told the police that they have seen Salamin fleeing the scene immediately after the incident happened. Sanjida’s family lodged a murder case with Shah Ali police the next day.
