The arrested rapist Hasanur Zaman Shipon alias Tekka of the same village is a cousin of the victim. During preliminary interrogation by CID personnel, Shipon confessed to the rape and murder. The CID conducted DNA tests of Shipon. The DNA tests matched with Shipon thereby confirming that he was behind the incidents. “After confirmation, a CID police team arrested Shipon last night,” the SP added.
