The accuse­d, identi­fied as Ghulam Ghaus, has been sent to jail on judici­al remand­LAHORE: Barki investigation police arrested a man on Thursday for strangling his sister to death for ‘honour’ last month. The accused, identified as Ghulam Ghaus, has been sent to jail on judicial remand. Reportedly, Mehvish Sajjd had married her cousin Yasir of her own free will. However, on the day of the incident, the accused covered the victim’s mouth with a towel and strangled her as she slept. On April 30, a 25-year-old woman was killed over ‘honour’ by her family and husband in Raiwind City.
