Obidile was arraigned before O. O. Olatunji on a two-count charge of conspiracy to commit felony and stealing. Prosecutor, O. Oladele, told the court that the defendant and others, now on the large, committed the offence on July 20, last year, on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. The prosecution told the court that after the snatching the container, the owner, Supermaster Nigeria Limited, represented by Chief Ralph Obi, petitioned the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of SCIID, Panti, Yetunde Longe. However, Magistrate Olatunji admitted him to bail in the sum of N1 million, with two responsible sureties. He subsequently adjourned the matter until September 5 for trial and ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody, pending perfection of his bail.
