A 19-year-old man accused of stealing a school bus and smashing into two Saint John police cars during a high-speed chase on the city's west side Thursday morning has been sent for a 30-day psychiatric assessment. Matthew Duke appeared in Saint John provincial court on Friday afternoon, his hands cuffed behind his back, a small cut visible on his temple. He was sent to the psychiatric wing of the Saint John Regional Hospital following his arrest, and a white patient bracelet was still visible on his wrist.
