A tow truck driver in his 50s is in serious but stable condition after being hit by a vehicle on Deerfoot Trail, according to Calgary EMS officials. Motorists must slow down to 60 km/hour — or slower if the speed limit is less — when they see emergency vehicles or tow trucks at the side of the road. "It's critical that when drivers see the flashing lights of a tow truck, they slow down," said AMA spokesman Randy Loyk. "It's not just a tow truck at the side of the road. The injured tow truck driver was not a member of AMA's fleet.
