Manchester United were keen on signing Ajax star Donny van de Beek but reportedly think the Ajax star is poised to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, reports say. The midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring five goals and registering four assists from 14 Eredivisie matches. The Daily Mail say that United were contemplating a move for Van de Beek, who has been in sensational form for Ajaz over the past 12 months. But they now expect the Holland international to end up at Real Madrid instead. Los Blancos, like United, were being backed to move for the midfielder at the end of last season.
