Shaw is out of contract at United at the end of the 2017/18 campaign and Jose Mourinho has hinted that the 22-year-old left-back could be in line for a new deal. However, MirrorSport suggests discussions over Shaw’s new contract have been put on hold and this has put United’s rivals on red alert. It’s claimed both Chelsea and Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation and could move for the England international in the summer. ‘I know Shaw since he arrived in the Premier League with Southampton and know his potential and quality,’ Mourinho said earlier this month.
