Manchester United are starting the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era by sealing a major coup with the appointment of Omar Berrada as the club's new chief executive, according to reports. Berrada has resigned from his role as rivals Manchester City's chief football operations officer and will become the first appointment under INEOS' rule at Old Trafford. According to The Athletic, United are set to confirm the surprise arrival of Berrada from across the city to replace Richard Arnold as CEO. Berrada is one of the prominent figures behind City's recent success on and off the pitch after joining from Barcelona in 2011. It read: "Manchester City Football Club can confirm that Omar Berrada has resigned from his role as chief football operations officer at City Football Group.
