Manchester City's Julian Alvarez is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid this summer. The La Liga club are set to complete a deal that could reach £82million with the initial fee thought to be around £64m. Alvarez joined City from River Plate in 2022, but Pep Guardiola has often opted to choose Erling Haaland in the biggest games. The Argentine still made 54 appearances across all competitions for Guardiola's team last term, scoring 19 goals alongside 13 assists.
