Secretive SNP forced to make damning independence pensions confession which could cost pensioners thousands

The secretive Scottish Government was forced to confess that pensions may not be safe in an independent Scotland. The SNP Executive was taken to the Scottish Information Commissioner after refusing to confirm damning details about what would happen to pensions if the UK was ever broken up. Intrepid welfare expert Neil Lovatt took the government to the Information Commissioner after it refused to supply him with documents and details about what currency pensions in an independent Scotland would be paid in. An official wrote: "I can confirm that, for continuity and practicality, the pound sterling would remain Scotland’s currency in the early years of independence. ‘Pay’ in Sterling get devalued ‘Scot£’ in return with no choice in the matter."
