Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 4.55am on Friday to reports of concerns for the welfare of an occupant at an address in Wild Goose Drive, Lewisham, south east London. The Metropolitan Police said a 74-year-old man was found suffering from head injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead just before 6am. A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, and was taken to a south London police station.
