Staff told the Star the system failure has impacted patient care by leading to long waits in the emergency department. The system failure has also created long wait times for diagnostic tests, including those for suspected heart attacks, sources said. After two-and-a-half hours of waiting, Granados said a hospital manager informed patients of the system failure. Surgeries will continue as planned for now and the Emergency Department is still open but on ambulance redirect, the hospital statement said.
