Ramasamy’s alleged links to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) are to be investigated, according to a report in the Malaysian Star. “However, Bukit Aman has taken over and we will investigate thoroughly,” he said at a press conference. Allegations of Ramasamy’s ties were widespread after a photo of himself and pro-LTTE politician V. Gopalasamy circulated online. The photo is believed to have been taken during a recent wedding reception. The LTTE has been classified as a terror group by multiple foreign countries.
