KUALA LUMPUR: Measures in the Barisan Nasional’s (BN) general election manifesto will speed up the country to reach its goal of becoming a developed nation, said BN leaders tonight. Umno supreme council member Datuk Ismail Abd Mutalib said the manifesto was formulated based on the needs to produce more human capital and spur the country to reach a developed nation status. "As prime minister and leader of the nation, Datuk Seri Najib Razak would have to take into considerations every aspect that relates to everyone. "This is not just a political matter, this is about driving the nation to become a high-income nation. "This is also to ensure that the manifesto covers three areas - first the national manifesto; state manifesto and lastly, local manifesto.
